We plan to donate a percentage of our profits to local charities and also to charities linked to protecting the world's natural areas. Please talk to us if you would like to nominate any particular charity.
We do not provide second opinions. We fully respect all the GPs working on this Island and do not intend to undermine any of their advice. It is possible, however, that in a longer appointment more information may come out that your GP should be aware of. In that case we can discuss the situation with that doctor, but please do not expect us to discuss any problems that you are having with your NHS doctors.
Whether or not you believe in climate change, we believe that using all our resources in a thoughtful way reduces waste and pollution. We are planning to use local services as much as possible to boost the local economy and reduce air miles. As much as we can, we will be using recyclable products and are aiming to be almost paper free.
At Mannin Doctors we believe in supporting the community and accepting help and support as well. We are very grateful to The Pain Clinic in Onchan for advice and support. We also have had help from The Follan Centre which has so many caring therapists and clinicians. The Rob Vine Fund has helped with providing some equipment. Chrystals, Nicola Bowker and SW Legal have been very helpful in getting us up and running.
We have a large book of local therapists and specialists who will work with us to provide a holistic service.
We hope to support many other local charities to make our community the most supportive and healthy place to live.
We will not be routinely prescribing any controlled drugs. This includes sleeping tablets, strong painkillers, or anything that requires consultant input. If you are in need of rehabilitation services we will be happy to direct you towards help, but unfortunately we cannot prescribe detoxification medications.
